Midcentury modern studio pottery lamp by American ceramicist Roger Bailey. Mounted on a circular wooden base, the ceramic stand is a warm chestnut-auburn, texturally marked by a swath of tightly repeated notches. Swank and organic, the piece includes a custom ivory linen shade.
Known primarily for his wheel-thrown stoneware and crystalline glazed porcelain, Bailey was a renowned ceramics instructor at Cal Poly during the 1960s and 70s.
