A pair of black candlesticks dating from Late 19th century. These candlesticks have a lightly floral motif, and have acquired an aged patina as the black paint has worn to reveal the original wood underneath. The craftsmanship on this pair is clearly evident in the slightly cloven hooves that make up the feet at the base and the delicate "flower" in which the candle sits.
